Inspired by I0rr-Rysdl's puzzle on the CTC Discord server.
Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Additionally, the grid is completely filled with snakes: a Mama snake, 5 Snakelets, and 5 Hatchlings.
Mama snake is a palindrome. Her midpoint is the red given 8.
The Snakelets are each 9 cells long. The digit on each end of each Snakelet indicates how many of the 8 surrounding cells are part of Mama snake.
The Hatchlings are the given thermos. Digits increase along Hatchlings from the bulb to the end. Mama snake diagonally or orthogonally touches the bulb end of each Hatchling.
Each snake is 1 cell wide and may not touch itself orthogonally. Snakes do not overlap each other. There are no other restrictions on snakes touching other snakes.

Lots of fun start to finish! Nice sequence of logic to place the snakes, and the sudoku at the end was no gimme either.

When the ruleset is this complex, it's easy to miss some fundamental parts. I missed the grid being "completely filled with snakes" for a long time, even after reading the rules at least five times over... It is of course completely my own fault, but maybe put "completely filled" in bold next time?

"Snakes. Why did it have to be ... snakes?"
A whole lot of fun. At least for non-archaeologist. ;)

Very nice usage of multiple snakes
