Friendly snake
(Published on 6. March 2021, 08:01 by PjotrV)
This friendly snake is meandering his way through the forest, can you help him?
Normal Sudoku rules apply. On top of that:
- The friendly snake starts from North West (row 1 column 1) and ends at South East (row 9 column 9). The snake can only go south or east. Furthermore, the snake is starting on a friendly cell and can only move towards friendly cells. Friendly cells are cells which contain a digit from either its row, column or box. The remaining friendly cells where the snake didn't go to are rocks. These don't touch the snake both orthogonally or diagonally.
- The X and V are Roman numerals, the connected cells to the X or V must sum to the value of the Roman numeral.
There are no negative constraints
Solution code: Friendly snake + row 4

I enjoyed this puzzle very much, thanks! Would love to see it on CTC.
PV: Thanks, I guess this puzzle is a bit on the easy side to be featured on the CTC channel, but that's just my thought :)

It's been a long time since I see a snake variant, and even an easy one
PV: Hope you liked it :)

Very enjoyable logic! I know from experience that it is not easy to let the snake go from r1c1 to r9c9 and do something interesting, so kudos for that.
PV: Thanks for the compliment! It was indeed hard to get the snake from r1c1 to r9c9 at all :)

Oh, a friendly snake implementation. Have to try that.
The f-puzzles link points to the wrong puzzle though.
