I always want to post one of this, but I seldom find a developable idea. The idea comes from LKegel.
I know it's a good idea when I see one. It takes the X part in the X-sum and replace the other part. So the question is, what else can be put there?
Before my noon nap, I ask Old Miles to make one combined with just showing the biggest digit (later turned out that it's just subset, so abandoned) But Old Miles take one step further, creating the next and most easy rule one.
This puzzle is made by Old Miles from China. I think it's weird because of the low completion rate for a new variant. It definitely wasn't hard (a little) It's an X-sum variant, and the rule is simple but tricky to play with. It certainly got our attention.
the way we develop an idea basically is simplification. The only problem is we don't know if it would be feasible or solvable or fun. That's why we usually start with the 6X6 to test the fun level before moving to 9X9. The last idea definitely wouldn't work in 9X9 but a lot of fun in 6X6.
I know what you are thinking now, these three all deserve a solo entry, why together? Well, how hard can a 6X6 be(please don't answer this) And naming these puzzle is hard. Surely the completion rate would be low, but I really don't care. I'm a solver not a setter. I care more about how you think the idea is and how is the solving experience. As for the puzzles, a lot of them is made just for fun and for me (two cell kropki series is made for me and two other person on this site) I really hope you could get the same enjoyment as I did when solving the puzzle. So, enjoy.
Lösungscode: Column 3, first one to third one (18 digits)

This puzzle is now at least made for 3 persons. May more follow. Nice. Loved the last one for its simple rule.

All three puzzles were fun to solve and not too hard. I liked the second most. In the third puzzle the hints are quite weak, so you need a lot of them.
***bigger:the second one happens to be the easiest, I think. There are just that many combination for 6X6. The third one is just a miracle that it's there and solvable. Who says too much hints is bad. That sum 7 won't happen if not 1.
