The trick that kicks the intended solution off is... well, tricky, I guess, but hopefully not diabolical. You'll know it when you see it.. or, rather, you'll know it when you see the very next step after it! The digits in Box 8, which has been highlighted in magical magenta, must form a 3x3 magic square.
