This is my fist puzzle. Normal Sudoku rules apply. Each digit indicates the length of cells diagonally in which it cannot repeat. Digits along the line form a palindrome and ignore the diagonal restriction.
Feedback is welcome!

Really interesting ruleset, I had some difficulty scanning the grid. :D But a pretty enjoyable solve overall, I'm looking forward to more puzzles like this.

Nice puzzle, neat to see a new twist on rules.

To answer your question steelwool, yes this applies to every digit in the grid except the two ends of the palindrome. And thank you everyone for the encouraging words!

I assumed the constraint applies to the provided digits. But does it actually continue to apply all through? Anyway, nice idea.

Nice ruleset. Puzzle is way too easy though. Looking forward to a more complicated version!

Nice puzzle! AFAIK the idea (or almost the same idea*) was first developed by Cam Denis. He has a series of wonderful "Princess" puzzles here on LMD. Take a look at id=0003MN (and subsequent puzzles). I think you will find it very interesting!
*= I did notice that your rule uses N vs N-1 which makes the restrictions a little different.
