10-in-9 calcudoku #3 (2021)

(Eingestellt am 1. Januar 2021, 00:00 Uhr von Nylimb)

I noticed recently that 2021 is a product of two 2-digit primes, which suggested a possibility for a new 10-in-9 puzzle. It took many tries to make it work, but I'm quite pleased with the result.

This is a variant of a calcudoku (also known as KenKen) puzzle, in which some cells contain 2-digit numbers.

Fill the grid with 1-digit and 2-digit numbers, so that every row and column contains each of the 10 digits, from 0 to 9, exactly once: Eight cells contain 1-digit numbers, and the other cell contains a 2-digit number (from 10 to 98).

Each cage indicated by the thick lines shows an arithmetic operation (+, -, x, or /) and the result of that operation applied to the numbers in the cage.

A digit can occur more than once in a cage, as long as the occurrences are not in the same row or column.

If you don't want to figure out the prime factorization of 2021 yourself, select the text in parentheses: (2021 = 43 * 47)

The puzzle is available on Penpa.

Lösungscode: Row 5 and row 6. Include both digits of the 2-digit numbers.

Nice construction (and thanks for the factorization... :-))

very nice ... although completely logical, got me puzzled for a while.

Perfect! One day later, the challenge was finally successful. It was indeed a big challenge and very logical. It's another 10in9 puzxle that I added to the "Favorite Puzzle" menu, thank you!

Great puzzle! Very friendly start, but it gets harder along the way. Elegant logic also in the more difficult deductions.

@panthchesh: Looks ok. I tried exactly the same. I just had some more numbers, where you have blanks. I tried to use Law of Leftovers exactly that way. But it never worked in three tries, because I became crazy with the adding and subtracting.

I decided to look for another way before trying again, and luckily there has been another possibility. And in the end, the columns we both couldn't deal with were filled...

PS: Maybe you counted correctly, but forgot that there is another cell to be filled with a 2-digit number in that area?

Very nice puzzle! Completely logical solving path, but absolutely not easy.

But law of leftovers with 10-in-9 is too weird for me ....
