"The 6 Sudokus of Christmas" by Stephen Parthimos (Stavros96)

WELCOME to the 12 Days of Christmas inside the 6 Sudokus of Christmas! Each grid represents 2 days of Christmas - beginning with “12 Cells Ratio-ing” all the way to a “Bulb in a Thermo Tree”. Set aside some time this holiday season to solve your way through this huge gift - made just for you!

Rules (out of grid):

  • Difference: The difference between the first 2 digits in the corresponding direction
  • Sandwich: Sum of the digits between 1 and 9 in the row
  • Parity: Number of parity changes in the corresponding column
  • X-sum: The sum of the first X numbers placed in the corresponding direction, where X is equal to the first number placed
  • Outside-3: The digit must be placed in one of the first 3 cells in the corresponding direction
  • Outside-2: The digit must be placed in one of the first 2 cells in the corresponding direction
  • Skyscraper: Digit indicates how many skyscrapers can be seen from corresponding direction

Rules (in grid):

  • Black dots: Ratio of 2:1 (no negative) // White dots: Consecutive digits (no negative)
  • Killer cages: No repeating digits // Grey squares: Even digits
  • Grey circles: Odd digits // Palindromes (green lines): Same digits from each end
  • Quadruple circles: Digits in the circle must appear once in the cells around it // V clues: Sum to 5 (no negative)
  • X clues: Sum to 10 (no negative) // Arrows: Digits on arrow sum to circle
  • Thermos: Digits increase from bulb

(Clues outside the grids apply to both grids they touch)(Long diagonal lines in the image are cosmetic only - not part of the puzzle)

I printed the puzzle out because it looked so inviting. Although I knew this would consume a lot of my time I could not resist. And what fun! It was worth every single second. Thanks for constructing!

@AnnaTh Thanks for solving!!

Can't really agree with Mark. This is actually six masterpieces. Solving this was just one fantastic trip from one superb piece of logic to the next. I'm truly sad I finished it already. Luckily my memory is so bad I might be able to do it again at Christmas.

@SirWoezel Thanks for the kind words!! Solve it each month - it's the gift that keeps on giving.

A true masterpiece. It is amazing how some constraints interact and there is a lot of fun logic to discover, while being approachable throughout.

Honestly one of the most awesome puzzles I've ever solved, everything works together so nicely, would recommend to everyone to take a bit of time and solve this monster!
