- There are some cells grouped into cages shown with dotted lines. The top left number on these cages shows the sum of the values that goes into these cells. Cell values do not repeat inside a cage.
- There are extra regions identified using shaded cells. Each group of nine shaded cells must also contain the numbers 1 to 9.
