The usual Sudoku rules apply, and on the marked (rising) diagonal no digit may repeat.
The digits along an arrow sum either to the number in the circle (x) or to the square of that number (x times x). The circled digit does not contribute to any sum.

@Voyager Simon is one of the presenters of the youtube channel Cracking the Cryptic, probably the best, biggest and most popular puzzle/sudoku channel ever. One of his latest videos is of him solving this puzzle.

@WillyWonka, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sometimes needs a little help from Simon! :) I tried the puzzle when it came out -- got stuck, and then used the video to get past my tough point.

Wow, I am blown away! Very nice arithmetic involved, different to any puzzle I've solved before. Unlike Simon, I definitely used a notepad (and I may have needed a little bit of help from him too but I still think it counts as a solve). Great puzzle!

Very nice construction! The logic seemed very tight. I made the same errors in box 9 a few times, but thankfully I got there in the end. :-)
