Like a standard anti-knight sudoku, except that one of the digits is exempt from the knight's-move restriction. Finding the exempted digit is part of the puzzle.
This is our (we're a couple) first attempt at creating a sudoku, so we're not too sure how good or difficult it is. There are bits of logic that we would have liked to include but weren't able to fit into this setup, but overall we're happy with it as a first attempt! Strong critical feedback is welcome as we're learners.
We think the knight's-move-with-exception idea is fun and (vague hint warning) we approached it in the most straightforward way we could think of. We may attempt another puzzle with this ruleset with a less obvious layout.
We've tagged this as "created with the help of a computer" as we wrote a little sudoku solver as an aid when designing this. We didn't automate any of the design, but used it to quickly reject impossible paths.
The puzzle is also available online on f-puzzles.
Solution code: Row 5 and Column 5 without separators

Corrected the f-puzzles link as the original one had a missing digit! Oops! The bad one was only up for a couple of minutes.
