This puzzle adds a new constraint to the familiar variant of thermometer sudoku.
Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. Every row, column and box must contain the digits from 1-9.
Normal thermometer rules apply. Digits must strictly increase along a thermometer, starting from the bulb end.
Additionally, each thermometer contains either all odd or all even numbers.
Solution code: Rows 3 and 7

What a tough puzzle (for me). I had to restart many times, not sure where I kept going astray. But glad I had observed it and someone else solved it recently, so it prodded my to have another go at it ... and success!
Great puzzle, thank you for setting it!

Added note regarding negative constraints. Cheers @RockyRoer and @Ryx

@Ryx:
No, there is not a negative constraint

Is there a negative constraint as well? If I find a 7-9 thermometer, does that mean the cell ahead of the 7 cannot be a 5?
I assume no negative constraint here, I was just hoping to rule out more possibilities ;-)

I really enjoyed this puzzle too. I like puzzles where you have to 'shade' the squares before filling them in -- in this case odd or even.

I really liked the puzzle. I would say 3 to 4 stars difficulty. Based on the time I needed for the solve, it would rather be 3 stars. But it could be that I was just lucky to spot some things right away.
