Toroidal Chess Sudoku #4 - Queens
(Published on 14. June 2020, 18:44 by Rotstein)
-Normal sudoku rules apply
-Digits 1 to 8 are kings (cannot repeat in cells separated by a king's move)
-Digit in a highlighted cell becomes a queen (in that cell only) and cannot repeat along its diagonals
-Both kings and queens restrictions also apply around the grid as if the opposite edges of the grid were connected.
Example: If R1C1 is a king it rules out R2C9, R9C2 and R9C9
Example²: If R1C1 were a (highlighted) queen, it would rule out the main diagonal from R1C1 to R9C9 but also the diagonal from R9C2 to R2C9
-Digit 9 are normal
