This puzzle can be solved like a standard snake (no touch, no 2x2 area filled), but with two exceptions.
The clues on the border are the "sum of the numbers occupied by the snake". (Those numbers are equal to the shortest distance cell-edge).
The head and the tail of the snake count as 2x the number. Please, see the example solved puzzle to clarify.
Solution code: The two rows occupied by the head and the tail of the snake, then the 7 column, using H for the head/tail, O for an occupied cell, F for a free cell.

Very well done. Basic idea, way of placing values in the grid, final puzzle... Of this type I'd definitely like to see more puzzles.

Very nice! Like all your puzzles, this one has a unique extra rule, but this one isn't overly complicated and creates a rather intresting variant for this puzzle type. Thank you.
