In a solemn ceremony all ice bears were released into freedom simultaneously, each into an orthogonal adjacent water cell of its cage.
In the pictured grid the moment is fixed, in which all ice bears are allready in water, but neither ice bears nor ships have moved.
Place the pictured ships into the grid.
Thereby
In the solved diagram for each ships' cell it is indicated with a small arrow, in which direction an ice bear was released into freedom.
Solution code: For the with "C" marked row from left to right for each cell an "X" for a ships part and "-" else. Then the same for the with "C" marked column from top to bottom.

Uh oh...
This puzzle reminds me of an other puzzle once made for me... already solved by some 60+ others but still not by me...
Don't hit me Christian! :-))))

Thank you Michael! It's a big honour if somebody makes a puzzle especially for me.. I liked this concept!

Hello Arvid/Eisbär,
recently you asked of the "big sister" of the puzzle “Schiffe platzieren: Flöße”. New babys need months to be born and I am sorry that there will be no sister in the nearby future.
And as you can see with this puzzle here: I still have some other work to do in these days – for example to set some comrades of yours free.
This puzzle is meant as a little “Dank je wel!” for your always very motivating feedback.
I hope you may have a lttle bit of fun solving the puzzle !
Kind regards Michael
Natürlich wünsche ich allen Lösern Freude mit dem Lösen des Rätsels !
Of course I wish all solvers to enjoy solving the puzzle !
