The numbers in the grid are the sum of the digits in the smaller outlined areas. In the smaller areas digits may not repeat. Both grids have the same solution.

Took me a while to get the right starting point, but after that everything went very smoothly. Here's a link with answer check: https://tinyurl.com/e6bc95nh

Changing my vote slightly was enough to reduce it to four stars, so it was very close. It's very difficult to rate puzzles consistent both in difficulty and beauty over the course of two years.

Hi pokerke,
This is one of the older puzzles, and by the time it was published definitely a five-star puzzle. But the average difficulty of puzzles in the portal has increased, so if it would be published today it wouldn't have been more than three stars...

I guess I was lucky to quickly find a good entry point but then the puzzle solved itself very quickly. I was quite surprised that a five star puzzle went so fast. I agree with the rating that it is a great puzzle, but the five star difficulty seems excessive.

So, if anybody can tell me where the 'easy entry' is, feel free to do so. Cause I missed it. After that it was quite easy (First ten digits took more than half of the time)

@Richard: I also did so right now. So let's see how long this one takes ;-)

@Sabine: funny to see that you solved the second Twin Killer earlier than this one. I think this one is considerably easier, with two possible ways to get started. ;-)

Danke!

Now I know why you did not take part in the "Monatsrätsel"!
Great puzzle! Thank you.
