PUZZLE
Play [Point Taken] on SudokuPad.
RULES
Sudoku: Normal Sudoku rules apply; place the digits 1-9 once in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
Renban Pairometer: A digit in a circle counts the total number of dominos containing consecutive digits in a 3x3 square centered on that circle.
Pointer Sums: A clue outside the grid gives the sum of all digits N that are N steps away from the digit X, where X is the row or column number.
NOTES
Expected Difficulty: 3 stars
For this prompt, I have borrowed
palpot's
Pointer Sums and
SennyK's
Renban Pairometers.
As an example, for Pointer Sums, if row 9 is 832591764, its Pointer Sum would be 10 because each of 1, 2, 3 and 4, are respectively 1, 2, 3, and 4 steps away from 9.
Solution code: Column 4, top to bottom.

Great puzzle. Feels very handcrafted. An illustration to the rules would have helped me. Not so easy to get the pointer rule at first. Great setting thx.

I really like how these two constraints work together :-) Nicely done, thanks!
