This was set for Scojo's Setting Saturday prompts. ThePedallingPianist redeemed this prompt to create a puzzle to go in a pack for the finale to his Rank Up series. This is my third entry for this prompt, see the first one here and the second one here.

Rules:

  • Numbers may not repeat within cages.

Within the inner 5x5:
  • Latin Square:
    • Place the digits 1 to 5 in the grid.
    • Digits may not repeat in rows or columns.

  • Full Rank:
    • The digits in rows and columns, read in both directions, make a total of 20 numbers of 5 digits.
    • Orthogonally adjacent cells outside the grid contain a number equal to the rank of the indicated 5-digit number according to its position, where 1 goes to the smallest and 20 to the largest.
    • There are no ties in rank.

Within the the rest of the 15x17:
  • Fillomino:
    • Divide the grid into orthogonally connected regions.
    • Fill each cell with a number that is the size of the region.
    • Regions of the same size cannot share a cell edge.
