Logic Masters Deutschland e.V.

This is a sequel to my puzzle Lizard's Lunch, which is good fun and which I hope you enjoy, but which isn't required to solve this one! It uses the same compass rules though. Larry the Lizard is back, this time with his ladyfriend, and they just want to find a comfortable spot to bask in the sun!

Sudoku:

• Normal Sudoku rules apply.

Compass:

• The digits 1 through 8 represent directions, starting at 1 and going clockwise around the compass. For example, if 1 were south-east, then 2 would be south, 3 south-west and so on round to 8 being east.
• You must determine the compass' orientation. The same compass applies to every clue in the puzzle.

Lizards:

• Larry the Lizard and Lizzy the Lizard have to follow paths such that they start from the indicated positions and meet in the basking spot indicated by the sun in the centre of the grid.
• Each lizard takes a path consisting of steps, each starting from the cell in which they are shown. Each step after the first starts from the cell on which the previous step ended.
• Each step moves the lizard one cell in the direction indicated by the digit in the cell from which the step starts.
• No path may visit a cell it or the other path has already visited, except when they meet in the central cell indicated by the sun.
• No path may cross over itself or the other path.
• No path may pass straight through walls (thick lines on cell edges) nor diagonally through pillars (rectangles on cell corners).

Insects:

• Green dots are locusts and separate cells differing by 5 or more.
• Black Xs are roaches and separate cells summing to 10.
• Lizards may pass through any insects (they might want a snack!) but do not have to.
• Not all insects are necessarily given.
