Arrow's Flight

(Published on 11. January 2026, 19:06 by NotVeryNeat)

I solved an arrow puzzle with a break-in similar to this, and couldn't help but take my own shot at it. Enjoy!

Indeed, was not too hard once you see it, but that took a while... 28 mins total, with 20 mins staring on different occasions!

I would suggest watching other people solve variant sudoku to learn more techniques! The YouTube channel "Cracking the Cryptic" does this a lot and explain the logic of every step

Wow! What a great puzzle, where the quadruple circles are used extremely clever. I enjoyed every single bit oft it.

I see people talking about ‘break-ins’ and I think this is what I
need help with. Any tips on where to learn strategies and techniques for variant sudoku? I’ve relied on instinct, trial and error for the last 6 months or so but feel like I need to get more of an education.

Nice puzzle, but not easy to spot the break in, I'm really surprised this ended up at 2*, that is unlike any other 2* I've solved on here so far.

Fantastic puzzle! This was a bit of a challenge for me, speaking as a relatively inexperienced solver. 2 star rating seems appropriate based on my limited experience.

I'm glad to see (from your reply to another comment) that I found the intended break in.

Felt like a 2 star to me, definitely needed a few techniques that aren't immediately obvious. Good fun, right up to the very end!

in order to qualify for level 2, there needs to be something to "bite on". here, there is nothing.

Loved it. Just a matter of staring at it until you see.
