Merry Christmas!
Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply.
The snowflake is a branching slow thermometer with the bulb in the center. Moving along from the bulb to the tips digits never decrease.
The parts of the snowflake sticking out of the grid are purely decorative.
There are no 9's on the snowflake. Those would be too warm!
White dots sit between consecutive digits. All possible white dots are given.
If you'd like to try a puzzle with actually meaningful clues sticking outside the grid:
Grow outside the grid
If you'd like to try some slightly harder Christmas themed puzzles, please have a look at these from previous years, which I spent a lot of time setting and have very few solves so far:

Too late for a Merry Christmas, but still in time to wish you a wonderful 2026!
--Thanks, and Happy new Year to you too!
I made a separate puzzle for that as well though:

Completely forgot the negative constraint but it still solved with about 3* difficulty, so probably 2* if I had remembered. Still a very joyful solve, thanks!

Magnificent puzzle, thanks for sharing! I always love the negative constraints, and really enjoyed the slow progress at the start of the puzzle. Great stuff! I agree with your 2,5 star estimation.
--Thanks!

Really enjoyed it! The negative constraint combined with slow thermo works really well.
--Thanks!

I love, love, loved this one! So much fun interaction between the slow therm and white dot negative constraint logic! A smooth 34 min for me, but I'd rate it 1-star, very approachable! Starts off slowly as you pencil mark your way into the logic, and then it cascades beautifully!
--Thanks! I wasn't sure about the difficulty, i thought about 2.5 so i left it at 3. I changed it to 2 stars now.
