I had to restart the puzzle a few times due to a stupid flaw in reasoning I made early on on the interaction between a gw and renban. But while I was about to give up, the title finally sunk in and it became a smooth 1*. Yes, knowing the mechanics of the Phistomel ring helps.

just lovely (and I didn't have to use the phisto ring. It solved quite nicely without using it due to the renban/gw lines ping pong)

I really loved the concept of this puzzle, so many great deductions and so much fun to find them. But I found it very difficult too. I gave up on it at first and then read the comments. I of course heard of the Phistomefel ring but didn’t even think of it until then. I never used it before and it took some time to get my head around it. It took me 4 hours to solve - but very enjoyable 4 hours :-D Thanks for another great puzzle!

I agree with the other comments - once you know "the ring", it's definitely a straightforward (but very nice) 1* puzzle, but the knowledge is uncommon for 1*-puzzles

definitly 2 stars, at least, for the reason mentioned earlier.
Very nice puzzle

I agree with LewkForce, this should have at least a 2* rating just because of the use of Phistomefel's ring. Very nice puzzle though :)
