Each row, column and 3x3 box must contain the digits 1-9.
One digit in every row, every column and every box is a negator, i.e. its value is equal to -1 multiplied by the normal value of that digit. Each negator has a different value.
Clues outside the grid give the sum of the values of each cell between the 1 and the 9 in that row or column. If the 1 or 9 is a negator the whole sum is multiplied by -1. A ± symbol indicates that the sum may be either a positive or a negative number. Solve in Sudokupad
Solution code: digits in the column containing the negated 5

that 1 looks so lonely ... let's give it a companion right away ...
wait ... that would be ILLOGICAL.
although, as it turns out, a lucky error there would be the correct thing.
definitely an "experts only" puzzle, but well worth the effort.
technical note: TWO simultaneous colouring modes are needed, as in vampire puzzles.
