Rules:

Normal 4x4 Sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-4 in every row, column and 2x2 box once each.

Each line has their own specific rule;

  • Yellow: Adjacent cells must be consecutive.
  • Green: Adjacent cells can't sum to 5.
  • Blue: Adjacent cells must have a different parity (odd/even).
  • Purple: Two adjacent cells never read a double digit prime number together. (i.e., 1432 is an invalid configuration because you get 14, 43, 32 and 43 is a prime number.)

Added an example for the purple line rule to prevent it from being confused with "sums of adjacent digits can't be prime"

cute puzzle! lore acurrate NYT lines, as always.

.proxz14's response: cute comment! Yes, I had to make purple be the most difficult line just like it is in the nyt minigame.

Just to be clear: 7 is a prime number, right?

.proxz14's response: yes a 7 is a prime number, however this puzzle only has digits 1-4 so a 7 can not appear in this grid.
