Aber nicht überbieten... maximum capacity

(Published on 3. March 2025, 12:51 by olima)

Maximum Capacity

Rules:
⚪ Normal Sudoku rules apply.
Kropki pairs: Black dots indicate digits in a ratio of 1:2. Not all dots are necessarily show.
Indexing: Red cells are column indexers, i. e. they show the position of the cell's column number in that row, e. g. a 7 in a red R2C1 would put a 1 in R2C7. Green cells are row indexers, i. e. they show the position of the cell's row number in that column, e. g. a 7 in a green R2C1 would put a 2 in R7C1.
Maximum-Capacity-Cages: Digits in cages do not repeat and show the maximum capacity of the cage. If the actual total is bigger than the capacity, all cells of the cage are red, otherwise green.

What a great set of rules! After wrapping my head around them, I felt the beginning of the puzzle wass quite easy. But after getting a bit further the difficulty increased and I realised that the start was just the warm up to get me used to the rules! :)

olima: and now enjoy the other indexing puzzles on my list. ;-) thanks for the kind words.

Fun puzzle. But it broke my mind to switch orientation depending on value.

What marcmees means is the part
> e. g. a 7 in a green R2C1 would put a 2 in R1C7.
should be
> e. g. a 7 in a green R2C1 would put a 2 in R7C1.

Green Indexing example seems wrong.

olima: Thank you for the information... fixed it, both in English version asd the Sudokupad ruleset. Note to myself: Don't copy-paste and translate at the same time. ;-)
