Standard Sudoku Rules Apply

Dice
  • Two identical standard six-sided dice are shown on the grid.
Edges
  • Along peach lines, any set of three sequential cells must contain a low {1,2,3}, middle {4,5,6}, and high {7,8,9} digit (entropic line).
  • The blue lines are divided by Sudoku box boundaries into line segments containing digits that sum to the same total (region sum line).
  • Gray lines have no meaning (decorative only).
Pips
  • Black pips separate digits that are in a 2:1 ratio (black Kropki dot).
  • White pips separate digits that are consecutive (white Kropki dot).
  • Magenta pips mark digits that altogether form a consecutive series, without repeating (renban dots).
  • Gray pips have no meaning (decorative only).

really smooth puzzle. Have to agree with the other comment though that I really dislike visual only markings unless you also post a 'clean' version. Also, really appreciate the general move away from entering 2 lines of hte puzzle for solutions and this reminded me of how anoying i find that method of verification. Sorry for being overly critical, i really did like the puzzle itself though.

@manushand: Thanks very much. I suppose I agree with you that the "decorative only" part of these puzzles also bothers me. I'm always for minimal clues, so I've been reluctant to find unnecessary "reasons"/"clues" to ascribe to the unneeded elements, but I do sympathize with your feelings (and share them) so I'll see if I can do better in the future puzzles in this series (my only series with "decorative only" elements, actually) to make every visual element a required clue. Wish me luck!

nice puzzle, for several reasons - but hardly accessible to beginners. strong familiarity with the principles and procedures of region sum lines and entropy lines is needed.

Really enjoyable solve indeed but not quite a 3 stars imo

@manushand: Darn it, that's the second time in a row that I forgot to set the difficulty estimate. You're right that I should have put it at 2 and will fix that now. Thanks!

Personally I don't care much for purely aesthetic elements, but the puzzle was good.
