That's What in the Corner?

(Published on 24. February 2025, 19:29 by Fenners)

This one took a while to get working, but I'm happy with the end result. Hope you enjoy!

Puzzle: That's What in the Corner?

Rules:

Normal 9x9 Sudoku rules apply.

Place 9 Hot cells and 9 Cold cells in the grid, once in each row, column and box. Each digit appears once on a Hot cell and once on a Cold cell. Hot cells and Cold cells cannot touch each other orthogonally or diagonally, but may touch themselves diagonally.

Hot cells: The value of a Hot cell in a cage is the digit multiplied by 3.

Cold Cells: The value of a Cold cell in a cage is the digit divided by 3.

Killer Cages: Digits in cages cannot repeat, and the digit's values must sum to the number in the top left of it's cage.

Does 3 times larger really mean 4 times its value? Or do you men three times its value?

If a 2 was in a Hot cell, it would represent the value 6. —Fenners
