Hybrid Series #2: Kin-Kon-Kan Shivers
This may be the most unusual hybrid I'm going to do in my series, but this came from an odd prompt where someone else picked one of the genres. Solve turned out pretty well I think
Rules:
-All unshaded cells must be filled be either shivers or mirrors. No shaded cells may contain shivers nor mirrors (Full)
-Shivers are non-intersecting lines of at least length 3 which turn at 90° angles on any cells other than their endpoints -A dashed circle indicates an endpoint of a shiver, a number in a cell indicates the length of the shiver occupying that cell, and a letter clue indicates shivers of that same letter have the same length. Length is counted in cells occupied by the shiver (Shivers)
-Place a diagonal line(henceforth known as mirror) into some cells with each region containing exactly one mirror. A beam of light enters the grid from each letter clue outside the grid and travels in a straight line, reflecting off of any mirrors it runs into, until it exits the grid. -Each light beam must exit the grid at a position marked with the same letter clue as its entrance. Every mirror must be used by at least one light beam. (Kin-Kon-Kan)
-Light beams may not pass through shaded cells. -If shiver clues use a letter clue, only that light beam associated with that letter clue may shine through any cell of that shiver. Shiver clues with a letter clue must have at least one cell in the beam of that associated letter -All letter clues are associated with a specific value whether they are shiver clues or kin-kon-kan clues. For instance, if the value of a letter is 4, then that letter must bounce 4 times off of mirrors AND the shiver length will be 4 (Interaction)
Answer check should work when drawing all shivers with Line, Drawing Edge (Diagonal) where the mirrors are, and placing Numbers in the key to the right of the grid.
I am more than aware the ruleset is a mouthful, but it's mostly the rulesets of the two base genres and the interaction I feel is pretty intuitive. Feel free to try out both base genres to familiarize yourself first.
Solve Online : Answer check is also enabled if you use blue or green color digits
Puzzle:
Solution code: Row 12 read from left to right, skipping the shaded cell and ending with the value of D. Use t if a shiver turns, e for the end of a shiver, p for a positive diagonal mirror, and n for a negative diagonal mirror. For example, it could be tpeettettntpet3 (15 characters)
