The Mis-Enchanted Sword
Based on the novel of the same name by Lawrence Watt-Evans.
The grid is composed of two overlapping sudoku grids. In each grid, normal sudoku rules apply. The overlapping regions have the same value in both sudoku grids.
Along a thermometer line, digits increase from the gold ring end towards the tip. Except one thermometer has a brass ring instead, to be determined by the solver. Along the brass-ring thermometer, digits can never increase towards the tip.
Along a yellow Dutch whisper adjacent digits must differ by at least 4.
The puzzle can be solved online with SudokuPad.
Puzzle created for the monthly puzzle prompt on the Cracking the Cryptic discord server. It has been verified solvable by a human by multiple testers.
