Keep Consecutive Friends Close

(Published on 10. February 2025, 00:07 by I Love Sleeping)

Many thanks to sirxemic for creating a custom Sudoku Maker constraint for me, couldn't have done this without it. Also, thank you 99%Sneaky, Donatello_86, MathGuy_12 and others for testing the puzzle. For the rest of you – enjoy! ☺

Rules:

  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Negative Black Kropki: Digits separated by a black dot must be in a 2:1 ratio. All black dots are given.
  • Keep Consecutive Friends Close: Every digit in the grid must have a consecutive digit in at least one of the (up to) 8 cells surrounding that digit. Important: The digits 1 and 9 are considered "consecutive" for the purpose of this rule.

The puzzle is available online via SudokuPad
