Diaguity (Diagonal X-Sum/Sandwich Sudoku)
(Published on 4. February 2025, 20:23 by Nell Gwyn)
- Sudoku: Place the digits 1 to 9 once each in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
- Diagonal X-Sum or Sandwich: Each clue outside the grid is either a Sandwich clue (giving the sum of the digits sandwiched between the highest and lowest digit) or an X-Sum clue (giving the sum of the first X digits in the indicated direction, where X is the first digit seen in that direction) along the indicated diagonal. Which clues are which must be deduced.
- If a clue is an X-Sum clue, the first digit cannot be greater than the length of the diagonal. If a clue is a Sandwich clue, then that diagonal cannot have any "ties" for highest or lowest digit (this does not apply to diagonals with no Sandwich clues, and all other digits may repeat on any diagonal if allowed by other rules).
