Deep In the Heart

(Published on 31. January 2025, 01:29 by Freegerator)

Normal Sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1-9 once each in each row, column, and 3x3 box.

Texas Hollers: Adjacent digits on a gold line differ by at least 6.

Partial Kropki: Digits separated by a white dot differ by 1. Digits separated by a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio. Not every possible dot location is marked.

Everything's Bigger in Texas: Every grey square inside Texas is larger than its surrounding (orthogonally-connected) digits. Every grey square outside Texas is smaller than its (orthogonally-connected) surrounding digits. (Note: These are normal maxima/minima)

This is my first puzzle. Please enjoy!

Fun puzzle! The only recommendation I can give is that perhaps make the solution code a little harder. Box 5 was the first box I fully solved, and that was the solution code! I didn't realize this until after I completed the puzzle however.

Would love to see another german whisper type puzzle like this with the constaints of a 6 versus the standard 5 difference!

The puzzle is great, but I sent it to a newbie friend and he noticed it isn't clarified in the Sudoku Pad rules that the maxima/minima rules only count orthogonally, which did make him fail before I noticed and pointed it out.

Freegerator: Yes, I noticed that after making the sudokupad link; please forward my apologies to your friend. Thank you for the comment!
