XOV to Los Angeles (0-9 Challenge)

(Published on 24. January 2025, 00:41 by The Bard)

XOV to Los Angeles

Extended Sudoku rules apply, place the digits 0-9 in each row, column, and box, however there will be one digit in each that does not fit. This digit can vary between rows, columns, and boxes and needs to be determined by the solver.

XV: Digits separated by an X sum to 10, those separated by a V sum to 5. All Xs and Vs have been given.

Consecutive Pairs: Digits separated by a white dot must be consecutive.

Anti-Knight: Cells that are a Knight's move apart (in chess) may not contain the same digit.

Very nice. I probably made it harder for myself by forgetting about anti-knight. But i actually didn't need it and used the negative constraint on XVs instead for the last few digits. (Also i had 90% colored, which helped.)

Fun as always, Bard! Hope all is well on the west coast with the fires!

Glad you liked it.
I am in northern California safe from this set of fires, but we get fires around this area nearly every year.

Very nice puzzle! I forgot about the Knight's move (despite the KM above the grid) until the very end where it filled in the rest :)

Lovely as always. I'm a huge fan of this ruleset and your setting.

A bit easier than some of the others but for me that's not a bad thing!

I’m happy that you are enjoying this series. I try to vary the difficulty levels and the last couple were harder so it was time for an easy one.

Here you say anti-Knight, but the puzzle on CTC doesn't say anti-Knight.

Updated link with this in the instructions.
Thank you for catching that!
