Hi everyone. This puzzle was set for a challenge on Discord on the CTC server by Isamook. Hope you enjoy. It should be approachable.
Rules:
Irregular sudoku rules apply.
Place the digits 1 to 7 once each in every region, row and column.
Regions are orthogonally connected and must be identified by solver. Some region borders are given. If a region is identified in one grid, then that region must exist in the other grid as well.
A cell with two arrows must sum to the two digits N steps away in the directions pointed to, where N is the digit in the cell with the arrows. Cells between the two grids are skipped in regards to the step-count, but are a part of the ongoing direction. At least one of the two cells pointed to by a cell with arrows, must be in the same region as the cell with the arrows.
Region borders divide blue lines into segments with the same sum.
Cells in the same relative positions in the two grids cannot contain the same digit. ie. if R1C5 is a 7 in grid 1, then R1C5 cannot be a 7. There is one naughty position, indicated by grey circles, that does not obey this rule.
Solution code: Row 5 left to right. (Both grids.)
