Locked Cages (Killer, Lockout Lines)

(Published on 21. January 2025, 15:41 by Chilly)

This one goes right back to 2021/2022 when lockout lines were first created, and I made this puzzle as an introduction to the logic for a free lockout lines pack. It's very easy (could be the only 1* I've published), but hopefully still fun, so please enjoy.

    The Rules:

  • Normal Sudoku rules apply.
  • Normal lockout line rules apply. Digits in diamonds directly connected by a lockout line must differ by 4 or more. Digits on a line must be different from those in the diamonds, and must fall outside the range defined by their diamonds. Digits on a line may repeat if allowed by other rules.
  • The clues in the upper left corners of cages give the sum of the digits in the corresponding cage.
