Happy 2025 everyone! I hope you have a strong start this year and please try out this 6x6 sudoku!
Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply.
Anti-Taxicab: No two identical digits can be exactly the same number of steps apart as their value, measured orthogonally (using Manhattan distance). For example, if a cell contains a 5, there cannot be another 5 exactly 5 steps away horizontally or vertically in any combination.
Little Killer: Along a marked diagonal, the digits must sum to the total given where the digits may repeat along the diagonal as long as no other rules are violated. In this puzzle, both diagonals sum to an unknown value X, which must be determined.
Puzzle:
Initially I considered providing the value of X for the little killer clue, but it would have made the puzzle significantly easier (you'll see why once you have solved it). Instead I decided to keep it numberless to preserve the challenge and aesthetic. Have fun solving!
Solution code: Column 3 then Row 3 (12 digits without space)
