Seven Bridges Road (Eagles)

(Published on 13. January 2025, 16:55 by Will Power)

Normal Sudoku rules apply. RENBAN: Numbers on the three gray lines (road) are each a set of the numbers 1-9, without repeats, in any order. SEVEN BRIDGES- Numbers ON THE GRAY LINES with a rectangle (bridge) BETWEEN them are in a ratio of 2:1. If the bridge is in the center of a cell, the doubling does NOT apply to that cell, but to those on either side. Example: The bridge at R3C3 requires R3C2 and R3C4 to be 2:1. KILLER CAGES(+)- Orthogonally adjacent numbers in cages ARE CONSECUTIVE AND all numbers in cages sum to the number in the top left corner of the cage. The blue line (river) has no effect on the puzzle.

SKORP17 compliment is like the Halley's comet. The one I can recall was July 2023, on Scojo's Little Killer Products. Too soon. Let's wait another 76 years. I'm a fan.

@Fisherman Thanks for the comment. Let's see... I'm thinking, without looking it up, that my dad showed me Halley's comet, in our back yard, around 1978? Not likely I'll still be around for the next pass. Anyway, any good catches recently, or have all the good stories had a chance to grow several times with each telling? 8-) Peace to you. -Will Power

Very easy and charming when you learn how to really read the rules :)
Delightful, a lot of little tricks involved.

Accidentally made it harder for myself by forgetting that the killers weren't *just* Renbans, but closer to white kropkis. Still, once I remembered that rule, the rest of the puzzle became quite easy.
Very pretty diagram :)

A nice puzzle, I liked the logic of it. But I end up with two distinct solutions: a deadly pattern with R1C1, R1C2, R7C1, and R7C2 that I can't resolve.

@sahi1I The Killer cages must be in order. This fixes one of your choices for R7C1, and R7C2 as the correct one. Thanks for playing and commenting. -Will Power

Lovely. All the lines and bridges seemed a little confusing at first, but once you could see where the 1:2 and consecutive rules applied it all resolved very smoothly. Thanks for sharing.

@Skorp17 Thank you for commenting. The consecutive bridges in row 3 have ABAB, where A's are 2:1 and B's are 2:1. The cages have all orthogonal neighbors consecutive. Die aufeinanderfolgenden Brücken in Reihe 3 haben ABAB, wobei A 2:1 und B 2:1 sind. Bei den Käfigen sind alle orthogonalen Nachbarn aufeinanderfolgend.

@Skorp17 I hope you normally enjoy my puzzles. I don't ever hear from you unless I mess up. Thank you. Ich hoffe, dass Ihnen meine Rätsel normalerweise gefallen. Ich höre nie von Ihnen, es sei denn, ich mache Fehler. Vielen Dank. -Will Power
