Getting to the Dot

(Published on 4. January 2025, 02:04 by ebiggie)

RULE SET:

Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each row, column, and box.

ANTI-KNIGHT: Cells separated by a knight’s move in chess cannot have the same digit.

Adjacent digits along a GREEN German Whispers line must differ by at least 5.

The GOLD lines are Nabner lines, there may not be consecutive or repeated digits along these lines but digits may be in any order.

The PURPLE lines are Renban lines. Digits along a purple line must be a set of consecutive non-repeating digits and they may be in any order.

BLACK Kropki dot: The black dot is a 1:2 ratio. Not all dots are given.

For our color blind friends:

German Whisper lines (4 total): The line in box 1, top two rows that looks like a sideways "9". The long crazy line starting in box 4 at R5C1 and traversing into boxes 7,8, and 6. The 4-cell "box" R3C4,R3C5,R4C4,R4C5. Last one is the straight 4-cell line R9C6 to R9C9.

Nabner Lines (4 total): The upside down "U" shape in the top of box 2. The sideways "L" shape line in the middle of box 5. The "L" shape line in box 7. Last on is the "zig-zag" shape line in box 9.

The remaining 4 lines are all Renban.

That was awesome, altough it took some time i really enjoyed it. around half-way in I read the rules and realized I forgot about the anti-knight. Then it was easier but still flowed fantasticaly.

As a side note, I would like to continue support the movement of "please don't make 18 digits solutions, it is really painful to enter it on mobile"

Thanks rudaass and I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzle :). Yeah, this was the first one I did 18 digit on, because I believe someone guessed on a previous puzzle of mine. For the lower difficulty ones I don't really care so much. But noted for all future ones I'll stick to 9 then. Thanks for your helpful comment :)

Such a fun solve and, as always, i am so thankful for the courtesy of the colorblind assist. thanks a lot!

You're most welcome PinkNickels, and Thank you for asking initially in one of my first puzzles on helping identifying lines for you in the comments. I would have never thought about color blindness if you had never mentioned it to me. :)

No problem! The green and gold are impossible for me to differentiate (unless one is super thick one one is super thin). I fail 11/12 on the Ishihara colorblind test so I am kind of helpless there haha
