Saturn

Did you know that Saturn has 146 moons? Although this puzzle doesn't nearly have that many, the inspiration is clear; a mystical ring along the perimeter of the puzzle, orbitting a magical, central cell.
Rules:
1. Normal Sudoku rules apply.
2. All cells in the outermost ring of the grid comprise a family of thermos. The individual length of any thermo is at least three, all thermos 'travel' in the same rotational direction (i.e. no two bulbs or two tips of a thermo are orthogonally adjacent), and the amount of thermos is the central digit. The lengths, direction and amount must all be determined by the solver.
3. Digits separated by a black dot must be of a 1:2 ratio.
4. Digits separated by a white dot must be consecutive.
Please leave feedback and enjoy solving!
Solution code: Input the digits in rows 8 and 9 from top to bottom, left to right, without spaces.

I was convinced that the thermometers were turning in a certain direction. No wonder I didn't get a solution.
Xdes, this is a very nice first puzzle you designed.

Hello, I've eased the solution code to be just the last 2 rows of the Sudoku. Thank you :)

Really good puzzle! Not currently able to log the solve as I’m on mobile. The auto clipboard doesn’t work on my phone and with a chain of digits this long going back and forth between the screen doesn’t work since I cannot feasibly get to the end of the chain to continue typing. I would suggest changing the solution code to a shorter one for those reasons as a lot of people on this site do solve on mobile. Thanks for the enjoyable puzzle though :)

To those who are saying that this is the most overkill solution code ever - Are you aware that SudokuPad has a clipboard (copy/paste) functionality in the advanced settings?

Am I understanding correctly that the solution code is 81 characters long??
Edit: Indeed I was. So, since the setter asked for feedback, here’s some: please don’t do that :)
