Sir Aloysius of Arendia (Anti-Knight, Kropki)

(Published on 1. January 2025, 07:40 by juddimal)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

  • Cells separated by a knights move may not contain the same digit.
  • For each line select two digits; that line is a sequence using only those digits. (For example a line could read 1121121 or 1212121).
  • The gray square contains the only digit not on any line.
  • White dots are consecutive. Black dots are in a 2:1 ratio.

Challenging and fun. For a long time there seemed to be too little information to get started. Finally I figured out what to focus on.
It would be helpful to add this line to the instructions: "Not all dots are given."

I'm not a content creator... but I have made a few (poor) videos explaining how to solve knights move puzzles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAJq5AC-9Ws&t=5s

@baltoguy: No, the 5 existing lines are meant.

I would have prefered if "the usual sentence" would have been included.. it wasn't so I tryed accordingly just to find that it breaks fairly late, that was a bit annyoing...
Okay true true, wrong expectation on my part.

I do not understand this rule: The gray square contains the only digit not on any line. Is the solvers supposed to create new lines?
