This is my entry from round 2 of season 1 of the Skunkworks League, hosted by damasosos92.
In this round, the prompt was to create a puzzle telling the story of the song The Boy by Tom Rosenthal.
Don't forget to check out the other puzzles from the round. Those that are published here should all have [TSL] and [S1T2] in the title.
Place the digits 1-9 once each in each row column and 3x3 box. Digits in cages do not repeat and sum to the total in top left corner.
Each digit represents the height of a blade of grass in its box. Taller grass obscures shorter grass. The digit in a cell with a clover counts the total number of blades visible from its position along its row and column (not counting itself).
The grid is partially obscured by mist. Placing correct digits will clear the mist. Play on SudokuPad
Solution code: Row 8 + Column 2 (18 digits)
