Welcome to My First Sudoku!

Normal Sudoku rules apply: you must place the digits 1 to 9 in each row, column, and 3x3 box without repetition.

The grid represents a city covered in fog, where buildings of different heights rise into the sky. Each digit represents a building and its height. When you place the correct digit, the fog clears, revealing all other buildings in the same row or column that are shorter. However, taller buildings block the view, so only the shorter buildings up to the next taller one are revealed.

Some buildings are connected by stairs, marked with a white dot. These connected buildings must contain consecutive digits. Note: Not all possible white dots are given.

Can you bring clarity to this foggy city?

If you find yourself lost in the fog, remember: you may need to remove a digit to uncover the true solution.

Love the concept. However, I think the rules are unclear. Do given digits also reveal all "smaller digits in the row/column"? I am pretty sure I'm meant to assume that.
