A King's Hyperbolic Region

Are you tired of all those FLAT puzzles? Here comes one with ... negative curvature!
This puzzle is inspired by, among others, Chameleon's (non-flat) puzzle Rational Cube with positive curvature, and this video introducing how to make a Hyperbolic blancket by simply conjoining 5 squares at one point.
This is my first puzzle. I have come up with this new grid shape, which I believe has some fun and interesting features, and I also wish to give inspiration of this new shape to other puzzle-setters.
If you know how to create a puzzle link for this one, please help. But for now, just grab a pen and some paper - I'm pretty sure this puzzle won't cause the shortage of your paper inventory!

Rules:
1. (Hyperbolic Sudoku) Fill every cell with a digit from 1 to 4 so that no digits repeat in any row or box. Every "box" is a 2x2 square and every "row" is 4-cells-long and slightly folded at box edges.
2. (Thermometer) Red lines are thermometers, digits on which strictly increase from the bulb (circle) end.
3. One digit from 1-4 plays the role of the King, and no two copies of that digit may be a King's move apart. N.B. A King's move here is to move one step forward OR to move one step forward, turn 90 degrees, and then move another step forward.
Solution code: All the "inner" digits, starting from the bulb of the shorter thermo and going clockwise. (Five digits in total, no spaces.)

Nice little puzzle!
Realshaggy has published a small series of this hyperbolic puzzles five years ago, as Advent theme. The puzzles are called 'Adventssterne' and the first one can be found here: https://logic-masters.de/Raetselportal/Raetsel/zeigen.php?id=00034I
From there you should be able to find the others as well.
In the comments of all puzzles are links to an online solve possibility in Penpa+ although the image looks a little bit different.

Thank you very much solving, and for sharing this link! I'm actually pretty glad to see someone did similar puzzles before, because I'll finally get to learn how to settle this in penpa, so my future puzzles are available to more solvers!

Cool Idea, would help if I had finished reading the rules before starting the solve lol. Hope we can start to get these into a software too. Excited for where this kind of puzzle goes, thanks for setting and sharing!
