Bear-Bear (By Gummy Bear)

(Published on 29. November 2024, 15:30 by meggen033)

My 8 year-old son Gummy Bear is at it again, this time with a sudoku resembling his favorite stuffed animal Bear-Bear. He helped me come up with the shape and I put in the cages at the end to make it solve. Let us know what you think of the it and if you liked the puzzle. Gummy Bear always enjoys the feedback. Check out Gummy Bear's previous puzzles:

1.) Milky Way

2.) Toothless

3.) Fuzzy Bear

• Normal Sudoku rules apply.

• Adjacent digits along a green German Whisper line must have a difference of at least 5.

• Digits along a magenta renban form a set of consecutive non-repeating digits in any order.

• Digits along a grey palindrome line read the same forwards or backwards.

• A black dot between cells indicates cell values with a 2:1 ratio. Not all dots are given.

• Cells with a filled circle must be odd.

• Digits in a cage do not repeat and sum to the clue in the top left.

Either I missed something obvious or the break-in difficulty is not in line with the rest of the puzzle. The break-in took me hours, the rest was done in <5 minutes...

The break in is way above 1*, the rest is trivial. I am glad I stuck with it, even though it wasn't the litte lunch time thing I had looked for.

Tough break in

On my "real level" the break in for this took longer than most 2* puzzles, so I'd agree that it's tough for a 1*.

Davidz32z : maybe you should think about your real level, break-in took 15 minutes and the whole puzzle less than 21 !

One star?? Took me an hour to find the break in lol. Very nice puzzle though, easy one you get a digit, and very cute!

Thank you very much for this lovely puzzle, Gummy Bear and meggen033! The break-in phase did not feel obvious, but the puzzle had a tremendous flow once I got going.
