Manhattan Diamond Heist

Rules:
  • Normal sudoku rules apply.
  • Taxicab constraint: The Manhattan distance between two cells is defined as the minimum number of orthogonal steps to go from one cell to the other. (E.g. the Manhattan distance from R1C1 to R2C2 is two, and from R4C6 to R2C3 is 5.) A digit N may not be a Manhattan distance of N from itself. (E.g. for N=2 this is equivalent to a no-king constraint, for N=3 this is equivalent to a no-knight constraint, etc.)
  • Losing heat: Draw a nine-cell long orthogonally moving line, starting in the center and ending at an edge of the grid. Along the line, digits must strictly decrease.

Worked out the technique to find the path but filling the grid with the Taxicab rule still took me some time. Thanks for your puzzle.
