I said to myself as I started "don't forget about the negative constraint". You'd be shocked at what I did for approximately 20 minutes and led to me getting stuck

@drbs the phrasing is just a matter of convention. The clue giving the negative constraint is usually written separately so it's more clear up front whether the negative constraint is in play or not. You're right that your phrasing is a bit more elegant, but I think the norm is pretty well established at this point

Nice puzzle. To my taste the rules could be worded more elegantly: edges between cells summing to 5 are marked with V, and those summing to 10 with X.
