Nice puzzle! I didn't use or read the hint before I solved the puzzle. I just started by deducing that one of the thermos was very constrained, and was able to place most of the digits along it.
Looking back now after solving, I'm not sure that I understand the hint - either way, a nice puzzle!

Didn't get the hint, and had to go bifurcating. Might be because I am not too good at this (yet) though :)

olima: Thank you for the comment; personally, I'd also see it in the 3*-difficulty range, but somehow all my puzzles lose one star when they turn red by the ratings.

Thank you for your reply, olima! I can very much relate. I often estimate my own puzzles one star harder than the average of solvers. :D
I think it is just tough to estimate it in own puzzles when you have to imagine how it felt if you did not know the solution already.
