Physics 301: Frozen Bermuda Triangle

(Published on 26. October 2024, 15:22 by 99%Sneaky)

Intro:

So, it seems you decided to choose Physics as your major, let's see how well you've been studying.

Rules:

#1 Normal sudoku rules apply.
#2 Digits in a grey square are even. Digits in a grey circle are odd.
#3 Digits in cells separated by a white are consecutive.
#4 Digits along arrows sum to the digit in the attached circle.
#5 The inequality sign points to the smaller of the two digits it lies between.

#6 Hailstorm: Blue squares represent a hail chunk. All hail falls vertically in the column in which it appears and reaches row 9 after a whole number of seconds. The digits in the first cell below and to the right of a hail cell give the speed (in blocks per second) at which it falls and time (in seconds) it will continue falling before reaching row 9. These two digits may be placed in either order.

For example, a hail chunk appearing in R4C1 would lead to R4C2 and R5C1 containing the digits 1 and 5 (for the hails speed and time respectively) in some order. This would illustrate that the chunk would move downward at 1 block per second for 5 seconds and successfully reach row 9 after a whole number of seconds had passed.

Another really beautiful entry into the Physics series of controlled hailstorms! That was once again a highly intricate opening with lots of really fun geometry at play, with even subtler and more remote deductions than in the 201 one, but again followed by a second half that was just as smooth. Very fun ruleset, and nice progression in the series, bravo!
