Heard No More 3

Normal Sudoku rules apply, place the digits 1-9 in each row, column, and box.

German whispers: digits next to each other along the green line must have a difference of at least 5. All vertical and horizontal German whisper lines have been given, no diagonal lines. (i.e. There is a negative constraint.)

I just finished all 4 of these that you had set. I actually found this the hardest of the 4 for some reason and had to restart 4 times due to errors I made that broke my solution.

I'm glad I persisted however!

Looking forward to a 5th entry!

I loved this. Really interesting logic. I found that I didn’t need the green line in box 7 to solve the puzzle, but maybe it needs to be there because of the Negative Constraint? Great puzzle, anyway.

Yeah, the negative constraint offered some fresh logic here! Thank you for creating and sharing this lovely puzzle.

Took me a moment to understand the implications. But after a while it worked out beautifully!

I liked the negative constraint, and how it governed the way different Whisper lines interacted with each other. Very neat!

Very nice, Bard. You've got quite the range as a setter. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! But it is not like I am the 35th top solver on this site like you are with over 4,700 solves representing nearly 20% of all puzzles on the site! :)
You are a power solver for sure!
And I bet you could start setting easier than you think. And with your solving experience you would be able to have some great ideas!
Something to think about...

I honestly didn't know that i was #35 in terms of total solves on the site. i had to look around to find that list. thanks for the kind words. for now, solving is something i really enjoy doing, but i will consider setting in the future. would be good to give back to the community that gives me one of my favorite hobbies.
