Abacus (Nabner/X-Sums)
(Published on 6. October 2024, 15:11 by damo_89)
Puzzle prompt involved Nabner lines and X-sums. What a weird combination. Good luck!
- Normal sudoku rules apply: Place the digits 1 to 9 once each in every row, column and 3x3 box
- Nabner: Digits on a gold line can't repeat, and no two digits anywhere on the line can be consecutive with each other
- X-Sums: Clues outside the grid give the sum of the first X digits in that row or column, where X is the first digit seen. The values of the X-sum clues are to be determined by the solver (and may be two digit numbers)
- Kropki, XV: Values on a black dot are in a 1:2 ratio. Values on a white dot are consecutive. Two values connected by an X will sum to 10. Not all dots or X are necessarily given
- (NB: An X-sum clue in a corner, such as in the very top-left of the grid, has no meaning.)

Solution code: Row 6 (of the sudoku grid; i.e. the row below the given 7, enter the sudoku digits only, not any X-sum values)
