Campobasso (XY-Difference-Paare)

(Published on 1. October 2024, 15:33 by glum_hippo)

Normal Sudoku rules apply.

If there's a diamond between two horizontally adjacent cells, then the absolute value of their difference is the same as the leftmost digit in that row.

If there's a diamond between two vertically adjacent cells, then the absolute value of their difference is the same as the topmost digit in that column. See example.

Not all diamonds are necessarily given.

And here is the puzzle (also available on the CtC-app):

Solution code: Row 4 (9 digits)

Very nice indeed - a bit more tricky than a 2* in particular with the break-in I think.
_
2* perhaps more for people who have seen a lot of XY-Difference puzzles before. Thanks for the feedback and for solving!
EDIT: after re-solving this yesterday I decided to bump up to 3 stars.

Enjoyable smooth solve after cracking the break in. Definitely a bit more thoughtful without the negative constraint. Thanks

Thank you. Yes, it's quite a different type of puzzle without the negative constraint.
